Book description:

Live fast, die young, and leave a bloodthirsty corpse.
That’s the saying of a new pack of fiendish predators infesting a New England town. They’re infected with the Ghost Heart, a condition that causes them to become irresistible and invincible…as long as they drink the blood of the living. But these vampires don’t live forever, and as the Ghost Heart claims them, their skin loses color and their hearts turn pale. When a young mechanic is seduced by the pack’s muse, he finds falling in love will break more than his heart.

John Palisano always provides a unique spin on classic themes, and Ghost Heart is no different. In this book, he does for the vampire genre what he did for zombies with Dust of the Dead. From the desperate souls inhabiting New York City nightclubs to the main characters whose troubled love sets the stage for the story, this book veers in unexpected directions that will leave readers turning the pages to find out what happens next. Forget broody Romanian counts or sparkly teens with a taste for blood and angst; in Ghost Heart, Palisano sends us down a new road of vampirism, one that stems from the social, physical, and mental addictions so prevalent in today’s society. If you’re looking for a book that is chock full of suspense, romance, and a nice touch of blood—with some real surprises lurking in the shadows—then buy Ghost Heart right now and start reading it.
