T. K. MILLIN - WOMAN IN HORROR!!our-blog/c112v

T.k. Millin is my Woman In Horror today! T. k. is a most interesting lady. She writes great horror; she tells super children's tales; and . . . and she hangs out with Efi Loo, a mysterious Black Cat Vamp. T. k. knows all the great people, and Efi Loo is just one - yes, the tuna eating aficionado considers herself to be human. Well, better than humans perhaps. T. k. has some other critters that dominate her home as well. Never a dull moment.

Her website has some great bio material. In fact, there is a super picture of Efi Loo with her scary hat on. T. k. is not wearing one, however. There are writing tips on the blog section, and she even has a special theater room where you can read and listen to her book trailers. I really like the way she has set this section up. In fact, it is giving me ideas, since I love youtube trailers. Eventually, all my books will have them.

T. k.'s Amazon bio. T. k. has quite a bit of information there.

"T.K. Millin lives on the West Coast of Florida known as, The Nature Coast, along with her husband, their feline family members; one of which is the infamous black sagacious feline, Efi Loo, The Cat Vamp!, and their newest edition, Bogart, a.k.a., Bogie Bear, a four-pound Chi-Poo who is nothing short of a four-pound bundle of energy.

T.K. Millin's publications include: Shells For Hunter-Bedtime Stories on the Go! and Fiction in a Flash! Six Tales of Terror; both published by Efi Loo Publishing, Inc., and available exclusively at Amazon. Mr. Jingle, the tale of a doll who harbors an ancient gypsy curse, is featured in the anthology; Satan's Toybox: Demonic Dolls, published by Angelic Knight Press, and available at Amazon and Smashwords. She is the editor of, What Did You Just Say? True Quotes From Real Insurance Adjusters, published by Efi Loo Publishing, Inc., and available at Amazon.

In addition to writing, T.K. Millin is the President, and Editor-in-Chief, at Efi Loo Publishing, Inc. She is a proud member of Mystery Writers of America and Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.

When not writing, T.K. Millin can be found perusing real-life stories to turn into fictional ones, gardening, rescuing and finding a forever home for the occasional stray that wanders into her garden and, well, writing. Efi Loo? Let's just say, keep the tuna handy and watch your fingers, because cat vamp's love to bite! "

T. k.'s great books:

Editorial Reviews

From the Author

Writing Fiction in a Flash was a blast!
Mostly, I spend my time writing middle-grade and adult mysteries, along with an occasional children's short story.  For pleasure, I enjoy reading a good horror story so when a group of fellow authors approached and encouraged me to join their flash fiction community in the horror genre, my curiosity was peaked.
I continually look for ways to challenge myself as a writer and venturing into the world of flash fiction was a venue that pushed me beyond limits I never knew existed.  Developing a new story line each week, based around a theme, drove my imagination wild!  Having to write it in less than 1,500 words, pushed me to new heights!
Each of these stories began as one writer's desire to push their limits on a blank screen with a blinking cursor.  And in the end, wound up creating the pages of,  Fiction in a Flash!  Six Tales of Terror.
"To write is to breathe, to breathe is to live; therefore, I live to write." -T.K. Millin

From the Inside Flap

A little backstory about the tales you are about to read...
Welcome to the world of Flash Fiction!  Flash fiction was started by different communities of writers from all genres, who set out to challenge, and inspire, one another to write a short story (usually between 500 and 1500 words) each week based on a different theme.  This platform provided authors the opportunity to keep their creative juices flowing and to have their work read and critiqued by other writers.  After each chapter heading, you will find the theme the story was based on.
Thank you for your interest in Fiction in a Flash!  It is my desire this collection of six short tales takes you somewhere far, far, away; even if only for the very short time it will take you to read them.

I could not put my iPhone down until I finished the whole book. Can not wait to purchase more of TK Millins' books

This is a group of six stories that kind of reminds me of Tales from the Crypt. They are good, and as advertised, pretty short, although this is the author's intent.

The stories are well written, without the usual Amazon plague of spelling and grammatical errors.

The only sticking point here may be the current Kindle purchase price of $3.99. I got the book for less, and consider it a good value for what I paid, however, having read the book in one sitting, I may have felt less than satisfied if I had paid full price.
T. K. not only writes great horror. This is a delightful children's book she penned and did the art for. Visit Hunter at the beach!

I read the story with my seven year old grandson after we identified the shells I brought back from Florida. We had
bought a treasure box and we labeled the section with each shells identity and put "Brayden's Shells" on the top
of the box. Brayden loved the story and plans to look for shells like Hunter when he visits an inlet on the Gulf of
Florida next week. I believe Hunter has inspired Brayden to be a shell adventurer!
Thank you, T.K. Millin for writing this wonderful story, it was educational and the story with Hunter gave it warmth
and sensitivity. My grandson could easily see himself as Hunter.

Who isn't always looking for their next treasure? Both educational and sensitive, it gives the reader a sense of hope that something good is coming their way, if only you will open your eyes and heart. Leaves you feeling content and realizing we're all on a journey.

T. K. has a super short story, Mr. Jingle, in this scary anthology!

The horror genre may not be everyone's cup of tea, but this anthology about evil dolls delivers a solid dose of unique, entertaining terror. Now I know why, as a child, I used to fear my dolls as they stared at me from a shelf in the darknesss. Their eyes seemed to glow with malevolence and I feared they would indeed come to life and devour me. Demonic Dolls brings this fear to life, and with each page, the stories delve into situations where this is the case. This is a fantastic read for those who are prepared to be scared by presumably innocent dolls who become possessed by typically human tendencies to commit murder and mayhem. I raise my glass in a salute to the anthology authors who were brave enough to explore the darkness that resides in the human soul and hand it over to mere toys. Chucky, that most demonic doll of all time, would raise his hand in salute as well!

I finished reading and checked to make sure my dolls were all locked up.The bonus part was reading where the authors ideas came from and how imagination filled in. They did a great job of hitting on some of my spooky memories from childhood.

T. k. writes great horror. One needs only to read her tales to discover that. I'm hoping that she provides us with more of her great stories soon.

T. k. Millin is a Woman In Horror!
