L.D. Ricard is my Woman In Horror today! I met her as a friend of a friend, and things gelled from there. Becca Boucher and I co-edited her novel Rowan's End, which went on to become a bestseller on Amazon as well as Smashwords. Very impressive. Also, it won two awards, Best Horror Author and Best Horror Book in Tj Week's competition last year. She was up against some heavy hitters, so this is quite an honor.

Rowan's End will be up soon with a new publisher and new cover art. I will be sure to let you in on all the details. I will be doing the cover art myself. I have a few ideas I have had for a while. Cool things. This will be the same great book you have all come to love.

L.D. is working on Rowan's End 2 at the moment. She also has at least two other projects, possibly more, working. One is Prey Of The Night, a novella with a twist. The other is a short story titled Night Hunt.

L.D.'s Amazon bio:

" L.D.Ricard lives in Florida. She has several short stories out and is soon to be re-releasing the highly anticipated Rowan's End. She lives with her other half, faithful dog Wicca and a demonic kitten. She is currently working on the sequel Rowan's End."

Here are some of her great books:

Here is a fantastic book trailer produced by Beverly Cialone for this fantastic novel!
There is nothing like a fantastic book and book trailer combo!

Book description:

Lexy and her mother, Laine, were used to living a gypsy lifestyle. Lexy's father always had them on the move. 20 years earlier he'd gone on the run from his family, but Laine never knew why. When he is mysteriously murdered, their world turns upside down. Thrust into a world of the unbelievably fantastic and at the same time horrifying, they must learn where the legends end and the lies begin, and help Lexi reclaim a family legacy, one that her father left her unprepared to fight for.

Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase In the beginning of this story, I truly wondered what I had started. With weird characters and items showing up at opportune moments, it makes one wonder what can actually be happening in our world today.

This story concentrates on Laine and Lexy, a mother-daughter duo surviving the death of Lexy's father; Laine's husband. Strange events bring them to an old family home, where history unfolds, mysterious events are solved, relationships are formed, and a battle between good and evil ensues.

LD Ricard has written a great book from a refreshing point of view, with a different take on magic, ghosts and witchery. I can't wait to read what happens next.

This is so much book for the money! I love how it is a collection of a lot of stories. I am a very busy woman and sometimes only have enough time to read a short here or there and this book has 26! I was very enchanted by the poem in the beginning. So many great stories that it is hard to choose just one or two to tell you about. You gotta get this book!!!

This is a very long review for every story, so I L.D.'s here:
The Full Wolf Moon by LD Ricard ~ As suggested by the title this one is a werewolf story. The life mate concept is mentioned in this story as is the pack concept. Again, yes I enjoyed it, but I wanted to read more and more. So LD Ricard is firmly on my authors to watch out for list. It's 5/5
