Book description:

Merlin the Magician only exists in myth and legend – at least that’s what archaeology student Jason Carpenter thought until he discovered the mysterious orb that had housed history’s greatest wizard for 1,600 years.

Forced into an uneasy alliance, Jason and Merlin are sucked into a web of deceit, intrigue and murder that sends them on a chaotic race to outwit, and out run, Merlin’s ancient nemesis, the evil sorceress Morgana le Fay, her gang of drug smugglers and a 500 year-old Chinese necromancer. Tis a race against time to complete their quest before an army of dragons are unleashed on a vulnerable and unsuspecting 21st century world.

Editorial Reviews

I was delighted to read Revelations: book one of The Merlin Chronicles by Daniel Diehl. This is an intriguing novel that made me lose track of time while reading. I enjoyed the suspenseful drama and creativity of this book. The characters were impressive, especially Merlin and Morgana. Morgana was a real psycho, and Diehl developed her malicious personality perfectly, which made this story more entertaining. The descriptive sequence of events connected well. I thought the conclusion was great, and hope for the opportunity to read book 2 in the series.

I’m a huge fan of Arthurian fantasy, and this one I found absolutely Amazing.

The way Daniel captured Merlin and chuck him into the 21st century, was superb. He’s characters are extremely well developed, Jason being our MC, and archaeologist that dug up an orb, dated back a time when those orbs weren’t found. The orb carried Merlin’s essence and I’m sure you can get the picture how this story starts.

I’m not going to give anything away from this novel. It’s one worth buying and you won’t be disappointed. I can promise you that.

I personally love it when a fantasy is realistic and Daniel has written it beautiful.

I couldn’t put it down.
After being accidentally thrown into the modern world of the 21st century, the wizard, Merlin teamed up with archaeology student, Jason Carpenter to aid him in his battle against the evil sorcerous, Morgana le Fay.

In this second book of The Merlin Chronicles, Merlin braves the mysterious depths of Morgana's underground lair in search of the alien device with which she communicates with the Dragon Lords.

Meanwhile, Jason is forced to battle his way across war-torn Central Africa in search of a legendary gem that holds the key to closing the dragon gate forever. When Merlin is captured by Morgana's thugs, Jason and Beverley, must risk their lives and the future of mankind in a desperate effort to save their friend.

If you haven't read these books, you are in for a thrill.
Magic and history woven into words and meanings underneath the context.
Whether you are a fan of Urban Fantasy or Merlin, or not.... this is how writing and reading the author's words should be.
Its a thrill ride you don't want to miss.

Merlin the Magician, Jason Carpenter and Beverley McCullough return in the gripping conclusion to The Merlin Chronicles trilogy. Catapulted back and forth through time and space the trio are forced to confront their arch-nemesis, the spectacularly evil Morgana le Fay, yet again, after embarking on a spectacular quest to save Merlin’s homeland, the ancient kingdom of the Britons, and no less than King Arthur himself. ‘Out of Time’ is in the finest tradition of urban fantasy, classic wizard fantasy and Arthurian legend all rolled into one. Don’t miss it.

Daniel Diehl has created an adventurous blend of Arthurian legend, biblical prophecy, classic wizard fantasy and contemporary urban fantasy. ~ SpecFic Daily
