Suzi M is my Woman In Horror today! Suzi is a super talent and a feisty woman horror author. She not only writes as Suzi M, but as James Glass also, where she spins terrific occult/mystery stories. She does a masterful job of being able to tell a masterful tale from the viewpoint of either genre.

Suzi is quite the lady of mystery. Even now, I sometimes wonder if she's pulling my leg or not when I read her posts.

Personal quote: "Somewhere in Hell right now, the devil is making a snow angel." Suzi M

Suzi M writes some kick-ass stuff!

One of Suzi's great books I mention below is Second-hand Sarah. If you go to this link  http://suzi.typepad.com/secondhand_sarah/ , you will find the origins of this book. And, there is more for you to find as well. But as I said before, Suzi is her own person and prefers to keep it that way. Read what you can, and discover along the way.

Suzi's Amazon bio:

Suzi M writes for fun and occasionally profit. The Immortal War Series - comprised of NEMESIS, LAMIA, and THE TOWER - can be found in both print and Kindle formats.

In 2010, ten of Suzi's short stories were published in the international Cover Stories Euphictional Anthology.

Currently, Suzi is working on a several new projects and released The Lazarus Stone (Conspiracy Edit) under the pseudonym Xircon.

When not busy with her own work or getting pictures and autographs of people who recognize her on the street, Suzi helps support the efforts of independent artists, writers, musicians, and film-makers.

You can follow her on Twitter @xirconnia or join the Suzi M Facebook fan page at https://www.facebook.com/SuziMOfficial

Here are some of Suzi's great stories:

Second-hand Sarah 2012

Book Description

Collected entries of the Second-hand Sarah blog for 2012.

5.0 out of 5 stars Page Turner! February 1, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
I'm a long time fan of Suzi M's work, and this is by far my favorite. Sarah's got everything a good mystery should have; including some romance to spice things up. I can't wait to see the story continue!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A journal most creepy October 14, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
This is Sarah's blog/diary. She's decided to buy an old house and has dreams of lovingly resthe home to the shining gem she could see it once was.

As she starts the restoration, Sarah begin-s finding odd things. At first everything discovered was seen as neat and fun. Then Sarah comes across something she didn't expect to find.

I don't want to spoil anything for readers, but this book is a real page turner.

Suzi M crafts a journal that is so realistic and so chillingly accurate that for awhile I thought it was absolutely real. To date this is the only fiction book I've ever read where I would have sworn it was a completely 100% true story told to an author by the person experiencing it.

As always, Suzi M does a brilliant job in creating characters that are realiatic, and flawed, but absolutely right for their roles. She weaves these fantastic characters through these utterly amazing atmospheres she creates to suck you right into her worlds. I love Second-Hand Sarah. You will, too.
                                                      *   *    *    *
I too felt like the journal could have been real, with everything happening exactly as described. I started out with this book because I feel it truly represents Suzi's superb talents.

Enoch's Devil

Book Description

November 24, 2009
In retrospect, he realized he should have known better. Hot women did not normally pay attention to him unless he was buying their drinks or their company for the evening. He was unremarkable in the most unremarkable ways, so when the blond woman whispered in his ear at the club he should have followed his instincts and run.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovecraft, Biblical, and Mythological = WOW March 19, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have read 4 of Suzi M's short stories and I must say, this is by far my favorite. The hard part about reviewing short storie's is that it's too easy to give away the subtle little twists (which there are a few). I am a huge fan of Lovecraft and mythology, and I'll just say this is a fun 'Easter Egg' type short story that hits on all cylinders. Read it and I'll give you a hand getting on the Suzi M bandwagon, I'll be sitting shotgun :D
5.0 out of 5 stars If it looks too good to be true... run! November 18, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Horror, terror, and dark fantasies are among my favorite genres, so when I saw some favorable reviews for "Enoch's Devil," I downloaded it. I hadn't previously read any of author Suzi M's work, but after reading this story, I'm impressed. The story is very short, but in only ten pages she managed to incorporate eroticism; the pitch darkness and dampness of an old abandoned subway tunnel under the streets of NYC (the setting for many creepy horror stories); the Nephilim, the Biblical fallen angels described in Genesis; and Cthulhu, an octopus-like symbol of evil created by H.P. Lovecraft in the 1920s and recreated by many authors since then.

Without giving away any spoilers, I'll just say that the ending was perfect, one that the late Alfred Hitchcock would have loved.
                                                                  *    *    *    *
These reviews point out the talents of a true master at the craft. To pack so much horror into a short story is no easy thing. Suzi has accomplished it here.

THE DISPOSSESSED by James Glass
Playing host to the Voice of God can be a strain, and as John Smith is discovering, the source of many hangovers. Add to that a missing demon, and it's one hell of a week.

Editorial Reviews

About the Author

James Glass enjoys his privacy, but frequently finds that he plays an unwilling host to Xircon. When not visiting red light districts of red light cities, he can frequently be found contemplating life in the seediest of libraries.

Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
When I read James Glass' first tale of the The Murdered Metatron, I was over the top happy with the great read. But The Dispossessed is even better. The same horror, humor and detective work in the first one is back but the author has taken his skills at the craft to an even higher level. A paranormal diner, Angels, Demons, and more have returned. John Smith, private detective, is called upon to solve another supernatural case of missing persons. I need more! The first one was great, The Dispossessed,is a masterpiece, so what will the next tale be? I can only imagine, but I am looking forward to reading it and finding out. While reading this story, it seemed perfectly natural to me that the ensemble of protagonists and antagonists should grace the pages. When one is talking about entities that most don't believe exist, this is quite an accomplishment. I'm writing this in a Starbuck's, but I wish I was sitting in the Limbo Diner watching the majesty unfold before my eyes. Viva la James Glass!

P.S. I received a free promotional copy of this great book, but it is too good to not pay for the privilege of reading this. So I purchased a copy. Had to be done!

Format:Kindle Edition
The descriptiveness and use of tone in this one is very reminiscent of the meaty eeriness of the book "The Haunting of Hill House"by Shirley Jackson. It left some things to the imagination and some things it flat out told you which made you just gobble the book up. James Glass is one of the best new authors of the Millennium. I profoundly hope that this series of novellas is two of many more to come as I will read as many as he writes.

The first review above is mine in my alter ego. This is a great book and I really love it, as you can tell. Last year I co-ordinated Suzi's Woman In Horror post on my blog with the release of this great book. I still chuckle when I think of how I didn't want to divulge that Suzi and James are one and the same. Now, Suzi has let the world know.

Today is Suzi's birthday! Happy birthday, Suzi!
There is no doubt that Suzi M is a Woman In Horror!
