I'm posting this here in advance of my novel Ghost No More which will be published in 2015. All the proceeds will be going to autistic children. This is not a children's book. It is hard-core horror, but the heroes in my tale are Autistic children. I call them the Chosen Ones, and they certainly are. Not only will the money be going to a super cause, but the children are super heroes in this novel, the same as they are in real life. I can't say for sure, but I believe this is the first book where this is done.

Now we come to another totally unique concept. Instead of the money going to organizations that a lot of times spin their wheels and do not come up with answers that actually help the children, I will be giving the funds to mothers who have found ways to help their children and succeeded. I have chosen four women. One in Canada, one in the United States, one in Ireland, and one in England. Each of these fantastic ladies uses a different approach with their children. I wish to help them with funding which is being cut short as they constantly have to juggle many facets of life. I will not divulge the names of these ladies. If at some point they wish to tell their stories, that will be fine.

As with many other things in the real world, there is no one approach that fits every person. We are individuals. As such, we should not be viewed as test subjects.  Autism need not be what many people think it is. I think positively about these children. They are all special. We need to work together to bring out their inner genius.

Thank you. And thank you ladies for doing such a great job!

I stole the below statement from Nina D'Arcangela's website. Let me say one of her websites. She is a very busy lady, one who believes in giving back to the author community in many ways. She is one of the founders of the Pen Of The Damned, and I am very glad to work with her there. She is a true professional in every way and puts up with my bull-shit, so she is strong-willed as well.

Another thing I love about Nina is she, like me, loves children. The other week she bought some books and read to some young cancer patients. The children loved having Nina there. She is a true princess. There is a very long story here and some humorous parts, but I'll allow Nina to discuss that in one of her many blog posts.

Here is the stolen snippet/bio:
" Quirky little horror chick who likes to write soul rending snippets of despair; reads anything from splatter matter to dark matter; an UrbEx explorer who loves to photograph abandoned places, bits of decay and old grave yards - I'm a cemetery stalker! I am also the Social Media Coordinator and co-owner of Sirens Call Publications, a member of Pen of the Damned, and if that isn't enough, put a check mark in the box next to owner and resident nut-job of Dark Angel Photography."

I tried to copy and paste all of Nina's books from Amazon but wasn't able to. So what I did was to copy and paste the Amazon link to her books. It shows her last book, a short story called Bent Metal which I gave a Five Star Review. It is a great story, as are all of her tales.

Pretty soon, I will be coming forth with more great news about Nina, but I'll leave you hanging for now, dog that I am.

Read Nina's great stories and visit her many websites and see if I'm not right about how she is a fantastic voice for all authors who hang out a shingle. You'll be glad you did!

Quick and Dirty Tips : Helping you do things better.

Mignon C. Fogarty, also known as Grammar Girl, has developed quite a reputation in the field of linguistics. I have included her fascinating website link, Facebook link, and Amazon Author Page link. She even has an explanation of why Thanksgiving is a gerund. The link is above.

If you don't already follow her, perhaps it's about time you did. The more you know, the better you can write. Sure helps with editing too.

I'm certain she would say that Blaze McRob is a synonym of hot-head.

Read and learn, my friends!

Jon Olson is one fantastic author, and I am honored to have him as a friend! He is a fellow Pen Of the Damned author, which says much in itself, but as you can see below, he doesn't dawdle when it comes to being published around the world. Check out some of his published books, and don't forget to read his wickedly fan-tab tales on the Pen Of The Damned for the price of free.

One thing you will notice about Jon when you visit his website is that he spreads the word about his fellow authors. That is the sign of a great man in my opinion.

Visit with Jon Olson. Read his fantastic stories and appreciate Jon the human. He represents the species well!

It's a dog eat dog world, Damnlings. It takes more than book smarts to make it, especially when you're living a LIFE IN THE PIT this week's newest ‪#‎horror‬ from Tyr Kieran of Pen of the Damned.
I stood among chaos. Bodies swarmed in all directions, screaming. My heart thumped, pounding erratically as if desperately trying to catch its breath. The mêlée—a whirlwind of life and death—churne...

2014-11-19: #31 Craig McGray

Interview with Craig McGray, author of a shit ton of good novels. I know about the glitch halfway through and left it for authenticity. We'll do it live

Check out what Craig McGray has to say about writing. And I do mean say! This is a verbal back and forth that I'm certain you'll enjoy. Craig is a fellow member of the Pen Of The Damned and discusses his experiences working with our eclectic group of Damned Dark authors. But he has much more to say about the publishing business and tells us about his favorite books, authors, and more.

I like this approach to having an interview. It's really easy to access. No codes needed or anything. Just hop on, hit the Scrivener button, and you're listening.

And, Craig talks a lot better than I do! Tel him Blaze sent you!
