I love to see great reviews for talented authors, especially when they are not for a new book. Paula Cappa, a Woman In Horror, received the review below the other day. She is a fantastic author and this makes me very happy. Take a peek at her books and find a new favorite author.

Book Description

October 10, 2012
Night Sea Journey is a tale of the supernatural, a quiet horror novel with paranormal apparitions, plenty of romance, psychological twists——and murder.
Kip Livingston lives alone in Abasteron House on Horn Island and is a talented painter with an inspired imagination. But she is haunted by a dark nocturnal visitor. Each night while Kip sleeps, a winged creature with greedy teeth invades her dreams and drags her to the bottom of a ghost-grey sea.
For help, she turns to exiled priest Raymond Kera, who falls for her seductive charms. Can Raymond save her from this dream demon? Or will Kip have to save herself?
From the author of The Dazzling Darkness, this supernatural thriller is a gripping mystical, exquisite story, a dreamy tale that delves deep into uncharted waters and will keep your mind racing.

Editorial Reviews

"Definitely a page turner where I did not want to put the book down. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a great read, great writer, awesome detailed characters, demons, angels." *****

"A suspenseful, romantic, mystical tale ... Cappa's superior writing skills, her ability to write this particular story to be so profound and thorough was perhaps one of the most impressive thing about the book." ****

"Quite an enchanting tale, weaving together ancient Biblical supernaturalism and dream theory, told in dreamy colorful language, with deft characterizations. Highly recommended." Monster Librarian

"Paula Cappa's novel Night Sea Journey is a powerful page-turner - enigmatic, surprising, and completely engaging ... a wild ride over dangerous and previously uncharted terrain." JAMES HULBERT, author of A Kiss Before You Leave Me

"Night Sea Journey" is a startling story that captures the reader from the first page, strong character development and a robust vocabulary. Cappa's characters are the kind the reader remembers long after the story has been read. Her dialogue flawlessly carries the story from one stage to the next." JUDITH REVEAL, author of The Brownstone

"Night Sea Journey is one of the most interesting novels I've come across in a good long time! The writing is good, the story is truly engaging, the characters are memorable, and as far as this editor is concerned, the philosophical base is right on!"

Another 5 STARS from Amazon Reviewer Theresa G Night Sea Journey
"Ah yes! Dreams! Dreams are the subconscious at work. I don't normally give 5 stars, but when I do I rave about a book because of the delicious contents inside. While you think your brain is shut off it is working hard and telling you things that maybe you should know and become more aware of. This eerie tale of Kip and her haunting dreams made me fearful of the supernatural and what is actually possible. What you believe in will come for you in your conscious and unconscious state. Kip’s dreams have turned into a reality and she meets an ex-priest, Father Raymond, whom helps her, but becomes romantically involved with her. This novel is not jump out of your skin scary, but the concept of it can be frightening for some. The story comes together wonderfully and every part of it is an important part of the story as a whole.
