PATRICIA ANABEL- WOMAN IN HORROR!

Patricia Anabel is my Woman In Horror today! While Patricia is probably known more for her Gothic poetry, she writes great short stories as well. It speaks well of her that she is included in a number of anthologies with great authors and a number of Women In Horror. Of course, I am not the least bit surprised to see her fantastic works in any of these anthologies. I am amazed at the talented women who are published in so many great anthologies today.

Going through some of the great books below, I am surprised to see that they are not selling as well as I think they should. Part of why I write my Women In Horror posts is to introduce readers to great women authors. Word of mouth should garner interest interest not only for these outstanding ladies, but for their co-authors as well. That is my desire.

Another irritant for me is when I see a talented author with only a handful of likes on their Amazon Author page. Head over and hit the like button for Patricia. She deserves it!

In the Dangerous Dreams anthology, Patricia has a tale titled Bathory.

Book Description

March 29, 2014
Everyone dreams but not everyone remembers them... Sometimes that's a very good thing. This collection of dark stories explores dreams, their impact, their meaning, their results...
Read and enjoy ... gentle warning, watch your own dreams from now on...

In Broken, Patricia graces the pages with the super story The Broken Chain.

Book Description

March 28, 2014
Everything eventually gets broken, whether it’s Greek sculptures or spaceships, someone somewhere does something and it gets broken. All the cursing and skilful patching in the world can never put it back together again. When this comes to people…

Broken things, broken minds, broken bodies: these talented authors came up with an amazing array of stories on this theme.

If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it.

Read this anthology instead!

Memento Mori is a fantastic anthology! The Final Dance, a poem, is within the pages, penned by none other than Patricia.

Book Description

March 31, 2014
Death is inevitable. This collection of art, poetry, flash fiction and short storiesaddresses the fact that death is inevitable. The manner of death and the why is important, as is the consequences, before and during the process of death. And what happens after death? Nothing? Everything? Or is it somewhere in between? Remember that we will die. Death is inevitable. More than twenty authors, poets and artists show us our mortality
4.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Short Stories June 12, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I purchased this book because a coworker (who sidelines as an author of short stories) had a couple stories published in it. I'm happy to report that she can REALLY write a creepy, disturbing story. Now, while I will no longer be able to talk with her about her hobby without thinking of death, drugs, abusive family members, and axe murderers, I can enthusiastically recommend her work to anyone wanting an entertaining and creepy diversion. (Also, the other stories in the book were quite good too.) 4/5 stars! (Which is what I give to authors unless they write with the skill of Dumas, Poe, Shakespeare, Creighton, Asimov, or King.)

If you are a fan of short stories and/or want to scare children and sensitive adults, I highly recommend this compilation.

 Amazon bio:

Patricia Anabel was born in Bratislava, Slovakia in 1969, her family then moved south, where she grew up in a small town called Nove Zamky. In 1996 she reallocated to the UK, where she shares her home in South London with her husband Chris and black kitten Sphinx.
Patricia has always been intrigued by all things Gothic, especially the Vampirism culture, so she would be naturally drawn to Bram Stoker's Dracula Society through which she discovered Hammer Horror.
Since young age Patricia has had a vivid imagination and creative mind, which has enabled her to transcend through many creative projects including writing gothic poetry, short stories and bespoke jewellery making.

Patricia Anabel is a Woman In Horror!
