Darragh Dowling is the youngest author to date for Visionary Press Collaborative. He is eight years old and lives in Ireland. Darragh has been diagnosed with Autism. Many children have problems adapting to a social environment when they are Autistic. As his mother, Michelle, says:

"Sports Event
Darragh has autism and attending matches and meeting players has helped Darragh to become socially involved with other people."
Is this not great!
I responded to a simple little page sharing on Facebook and it blossomed into so much more. I told Michelle I thought there was a story to be told, a book about Darragh. Within a matter of hours, a beautiful story was written. Darragh tells the world his story, and his mother supplies the artwork for a full color interior art book available in both ebook and paperback.

This is a story of hope and love and shows what happens when a family comes together and refuses to buckle under to preconceived notions of what is to be. This is a story of Darragh, his mother, his father, and his super older brother forming a special bond and finding the spark that excites Darragh and encourages him to go beyond their wildest dreams.

This is a sports story, one in which the number one fan of the GAA and the Kilkenny hurlers now has aspirations to be an athlete himself. And you know what? He will succeed!

This is the story of a hero. My hero. A brave boy who forges ahead and loves life. Look at the smile on Darragh's face in the picture above. This is a picture that inspires love and the greatest respect.

It was left to me to come up with a title for this great book. The choice is obvious. Darragh is not only my super hero but the perfect choice for his book's title. This book will be out soon. Visionary Press Collaborative is giving 100% of the royalties to this brave boy and his family. To do anything else would be abominable. Also, I will be shipping paperback copies to Ireland for my pal. No charge. My gift as a small token for the friendship he has given me.

Our Director Of Poetry, Michael Quinn Neuciler, happens to live 40 minutes away from Darragh. Unbelievable! He wants an autographed copy of Darragh's book when it's published.

I wish to point out all the youtube links above and other links. Go to these links and see what I'm talking about and wish Darragh the very best.

I am very excited about this and want to spread my joy! Thank you, Darragh, for being my friend, and my hero!
