"Words are like shards of glass. By themselves they're worthless; however, when placed together in just the right way, they can become brilliant, artful mosaics." - Leigh M. Lane

Leigh M. Lane is my Woman In Horror today! Leigh writes such totally balanced classic horror. In Finding Poe she is able to catch the essence of the past and present and weave a tale which pushes the concepts of unknown borders existing between insanity and reality. I feel that not only is the protagonist in this great story  thrown against the edge of the abyss separating the two, but the reader is also taken along on a wild ride from which there might not be a return home. This story is not for the faint of heart. Ah, but for those of us who relish the great lessons to be learned from in-your-face horror, this is the read for you! This super book made the finals for the EPIC award in horror.

Leigh's prequel to World-Mart, The Private Sector, will be out sometime in the next two or three months. This is dystopian, but has a heavy horror element and Leigh says it has been very intense for her to write.

Leigh was on my list of Women In Horror last year, but under a different name. She did not mention any of those titles to be included here, so I will go with what she asked me to include. Just allow me to say that Leigh is  great at writing mixed genre fiction, and I recommended one of those great books for inclusion into DarkMediaCity's Dark Book Club last March. Okay, I suppose I'm leaving a lot of you hanging with these statements, Bad Blaze, but like I said, Leigh is a master at whatever she writes.

I have included her horror titles below, and I have also added some great preview pictures of upcoming anthologies and books she is quite proud of, as well as many anthologies she feels happy about having been accepted into. A number of my other talented Women In Horror authors grace the pages of these super anthologies along with Leigh. Plug, plug for Mikel Classen, Publisher of Netbound for including her in his great anthology, Sideshow.

Leigh is almost a neighbor of mine, residing in western Montana, while I live in Wyoming. It's nice to know that folks from out west can write great horror. I toast thee, Leigh!

I am honored to include Leigh M. Lane among my friends. She is a fantastic lady, and a great author!
