'Success lives between your ears.' E.a. Irwin

E.a. Irwin, also known as P.A. Matthews ( Patricia ), has been a friend of mine for quite some time now. While she is a master at writing great horror short stories which have been included in any number of anthologies and magazines, I particularly love the Myth to Life: The Rise of Riley McCabe series. This is a great blend of fantasy, horror, and kick-ass adventure. She had these published once by a jerk who did her wrong. There: I said it. These great novels need to see the light of day once more. Go to one of the links above and tell her so. I know what I'm talking about because I had the great honor of reading these tales.

Patricia has a number of new tales coming out soon. Take a peek below to see what she's up to. I have the three to come sitting on top for your reading enjoyment.

 This is Patricia's Amazon bio:

E. A. Irwin lives in California, where she writes fiction and poetry, often bending horror, mystery and thriller genres to keep life interesting. Author of the "Myth to Life: The Rise of Riley McCabe" series, her short stories and poetry have been published in various anthologies, magazines, e-zines and online.

Patricia has a short story titled Tourniquet coming out in the anthology FREAKEND MADNESS . This is an anthology for charity. The charity is the Hurricane Sandy Fund. Way to go Patricia!

Patricia's story Splinter will be in Spirits of the Night, coming out from Netbound Publishing. This will be cool: I have a story in this great tome as well.

The pic below is just another one of Melissa Stevens's wonderful works of art. The book cover for "Sideshow" is as follows:

Human Illumine is Patricia's contribution to the Sideshow anthology coming out through Netbound Publishing. She thought of me with her electrical/lightning issue in the plot. Hmmn. Thank you, my friend.

5 authors tormented by dark visions have penned 15 poems each to chill the spine of Poe.

5 dark and disturbing visions for your pleasure have at last been combined into one volume.

This collection will NOT make you feel cozy and warm. It will NOT make you think of love and happiness.

No. It's designed for something much, much darker. This collection will play games with your mind and rape your soul. It will send you to the madhouse, screaming. Your warnings are for naught. Their eyes are blind, and their ears they do bleed.

But you are not of the weak, are you? You are strong of mind, spirit and body, but still me thinks you shall scream.

Do you think you're immune?

Think again.

Okay, as I did the other day, I have a huge issue to make. Patricia is a great author, and yet, on her Amazon Author page there is only one like. That is mine. I want all of my friends and Patricia's friends to go over and like her page. Simple request, but it means a lot.

Obviously, from all the great publications in the past and the new ones on the way, it is pretty obvious that Patricia is well deserving to be mentioned in this post. I implore all of you to go to her website and read all that she has there. She spent a lot of time with her website and it is chock full of great things to read.

E.a. Irwin is a Woman In Horror!

  1. Blaze,

Thank you so much for the wonderful and kinds words regarding my work. I am deeply humbled and honored to grace the pages of horror with such gifted women ... and yes, men. :-)

You have been a great friend these past years and I never take for granted and fully appreciate all you have done for us as writers.

And Riley is coming out of hibernation. She deserves it and has waited far too long to let the world know her tales.

Once again, thank you for honoring me this month and for directing people to my sites. I really do appreciate this ... and more than that, you.

Take care, my friend and buddy.

    Patricia/E. A. Irwin

  2. I am so glad to see that Riley is getting out of hibernation, Patricia! The series is such a perfect blend of genres and sub genres. I can hardly wait.

It is such a joy to be able to do what I can for all my Women In Horror friends. Truth be known? You ladies write better than the men. :D
