COFFINHOP-DAY SEVEN

This is day seven of Coffin Hop. There are still prizes to be won all over the place! However, before I go into anything else, I want to express how I feel about everyone caught up in the real life horrors that are happening with Super Storm Sandy. Nothing any of us writes about can come close to something like this. Please help those in need however you can. It could be something as simple as helping removing debris from your neighbors' lawn or sidewalk. Maybe a hot meal for those who can't cook. Taking people into your home. There are many things we can do to help. I live a long ways from the horrible damage, but I can still give money to the Red Cross. However, the potential for damage is still not over. Please be careful.

There is a great magazine article on DarkMedia online written by Alex McDermott and a bunch of authors about "Why are we so fascinated with monsters and horror?" There are many opinions, rather diverse in nature, but they are all great. This is must reading, I believe. Many of my friends have written pieces there. Lisa McCourt hollar and I are both included. We are both members of Visionary Press Cooperative, so I feel it's quite a feather in the caps of our Press. You might find this difficult to believe, but my piece is the longest. Hmmn. At any rate, there is a lot said and much sense to be made. And it's free! Yay!

  1. Thanks for pointing that out, Blaze. It's interesting to me that my earliest memories of fiction involved monsters--even music (Thriller music video), and now almost all of my fiction has monsters. I look forward to reading that, and finding out more about Visionary Press Cooperative.
    Happy Hoppin!

    1. What would the world be without monsters, tc? We could use a lot less of real world ones, however.
