I am very honored that DRC at Writing Thrilling Fiction thought I deserved these two awards; The Kreative Blogger award, and the Versatile Blogger Award. This comes at a time when I thought my blog needed an update with more goodies for my readers. Yes, I am a prolific writer and am currently writing a novel on my blog, some flash fiction posts, shout outs to my fellow authors and all, but I still feel the need to do more. And I will. That will come very soon.

So these awards and recognition make me feel really good, to say the least.

I am supposed to tell seven things about myself and pass the awards on to seven deserving bloggers. That will be the difficult part as there are so many.

First, the seven things:

1. I was nominated for three prestigious awards last year. Two for poetry and one for short stories. I haven't told anyone about this yet, but this seems like a good place to do it. I have respectfully sent these organizations notification that I wish to be taken out of the running. Why? There are a number of reasons, but the main one is I don't feel art can be judged. It's very subjective. Some people like Brian Keene and others prefer Dean Koontz. I like them both. The better writer? Neither. They are both great with their distinctive styling.

2. Even though I co-own a small Publishing house, most of my horror offerings will be published by Vamplit Publishing, another small House. Why? I believe we all need to work together in the Indie movement. We have published some of Vamplits authors in our anthologies; we promote them; and they promote us. I like working with the fine people there. There are other publishers I publish with as well. We need to stick together and work with one another for the common goal of great books for our readers.

3. I love ebooks because I am super green. Yes, there will always be a place for paper books, and POD is a green method of producing them, but ebooks are green all the way. My house, Angelic Knight Press, produces both, but we do it the green way.

4. ALL my fiction stories have certain elements of truth in them. That's probably true for many fiction writers but more so with me. I shove the bad out of me and keep the good inside. Tres cool!

5. Children are number one with me. I have eight children: 3, 4, 7, 9, 10, 11, 17, and 37, but I love all children. EACH AND EVERY ONE. They are a blessing and need to be loved.

6. Too many of my writer friends have been or are in an abusive relationship. My heart goes out to them. There is no reason for abuse. For a man to abuse or demean a woman makes him that much less a man. I wish all my friends in this position the very best with this and hope they find a way to just get up and leave. Yes, I know it's not always easy, but in most instances, it needs to be done.

7. I am the rah-rah king of the publishing industry. My friends mean a lot to me, and I will never put them down. My thinking on reviews: I never give a bad review. If the book is bad in my opinion, I simply tell that to the author privately. I will not be mean spirited about it. So if you see a five star review from me, you know you earned it!

Okay, my picks to receive these two awards:

Lisa McCourt Hollar

Carole Gill

Sue Midlock

Okay, so I can't count. I said this would be tough! My choices are in no particular order. I stopped when my fingers got sore. Visit and enjoy their blogs. I do.

  1. I'm so glad the awards made you feel good. You really do deserve them. I love reading your work and I couldn't think of a better person to award them to. Congratulations!!!

  2. Okay, so DRC beat me to it, but I gave you the blog awards too... just because I can :p... and because I'd like to see another seven facts. Now that you've got the mundane stuff out of your system you can give us the really interesting things now LOL

  3. Thank you, DRC! You are so kind! I'm glad you enjoy reading my stories and other little ditties. That makes me happy too.

  4. You want more facts, huh, Nephylim? Let me see what I can whip up for you! Thank you very much for the awards!
