Virtual Book Tours

I'm not going to try to convince anyone to have a virtual book tour, although I believe it is a great idea and I plan to do them. My point in this post is to suggest that authors follow their friends' tours. Why? Well, you're helping them out for one thing, and you're helping yourself out for another. How is this? Any time you go to a new blog and write an intelligent, relevant comment, people who don't know you are going to take notice. I found this out quite by accident when commenting on Carole Gill's blog stops. By being nice, it will be returned to us. Does that mean they will buy your book? It doesn't matter. It's all part of a big circle with little circles off to the side filled with friends, writers and readers. It's like supply-side economics on a friend level. Friends tell friends who tell other friends.

Become a viable, helpful part of the writing community. We will all be better off for it.

  1. It's a pay it forward kind of attitude. It all comes back to us in the end! I plan on stopping by some of Carole's blog tour whenever I get the chance!

  2. I'm really huge into this stuff, Stacey. We all help each other and we receive back without even trying to.

  4. Some days I'm wiser than others, Nomar. Some people say I'm a wise-ass. I don't want to listen to them, though.

  5. You're better off not listening to them. You are a cool guy in my book!
